Everyone who purchased it does...it's because the content of this release is identical to that of Region B issue (with the exception of the opening menu offering, in order to bypass the German language aspects of the disc).
Note: You can significantly improve the video quality on this one by taking your TV's color setting down by about 25 points, and your contrast down about 10, it'll look much better... |

Glad I kept my Anchor Bay widescreen 20th ann DVD release, since it has THX mastering, the audio commentary, a booklet, and an easter egg. the deleted scenes, and new stuff is welcome on the blu though. |

Quartet Records in Spain has released a 3 CD-set with the complete music. There's 180 minutes of music, most of it previously unreleased or unused in the film.

And the colors are heavily oversaturated in many scenes...looks great (better than the DVD) once you adjust the settings on your TV, but yeah, you have to be willing to do that in order to achieve the best presentation.

makes me wonder how much Coke and McD's gave the Salkinds for the budget of the film (it film cost 50 million bones back in mids 80s), I mean you see a major McDonalds scence with many food items being eaten, and Coke products are clearly seen in two scenes in the film

There are several different product placements in Donner's Superman films. Superman II has the giant Coke sign in Times Square getting smashed, when Non throws Superman into it. There are also placements for Marlboro cigarettes, which would never happen in today's world for a movie aimed at children.
