Lg tv with wifi adapter and wifi built in? - Blu-ray Forum

Are they different wifi? One faster than another. Are they the same? I have the lg tv with the wifi adapter. And the connection of the wifi are very bad, it is very slow and Connection loses often. Is their new tv with built in wifi is any good. Anyone have any experience with their tv wifi. Please help. Any comparison between different tv, media player, and bluray will helps. Thank

Get a usb extender and attach it to your dongle. Apparently there is an issue where the TV shields the WiFi signal. Mine works SOOOOO much better having the usb extender. The internal WiFi works ok on my parents set up, but it really depends on the strength of the signal.

where can i buy a usb extension. and how to install it? which one did you use to work with the LG wifi adapter.

You just plug the USB extension into your TV, then plug your network dongle into it. My TV is mounted on the wall so I just used wall tape to stick the dongle on the wall, instead of TV. It just needs to be a few inches away from the back of the television.

There are even longer extensions available but the 6 inch is all you should need.

I have an lg 55lm6200 with a wifi built in and it is very fast. very cool to use the internet on the tv. Very good tv. I did alot of searches for the right tv and did alot of stores to see the difference between tv and Lg cinema 3d was the big winner.

Yeah, my cousin got an lg tv built in wifi, the wifi is fast, but my lg with the adapter suck. I will try the usb extension soon and see if that is better. I like lg tv too. I wish i have the built in wifi.
