I am not a comic collector or reader or anything, but I want to read the Walking Dead comics. But there are a few version. Hardcover book version and the normal comic books.

Which one is nicer and better to get?

Hardcover (omnibus) is really, really nice.

Four if you get these.

The Walking Dead Omnibus Vol. 1

The Walking Dead Omnibus Vol. 2

The Walking Dead Omnibus Vol. 3

The Walking Dead Omnibus Vol 4

A fifth edition will be coming out soon. These are beautiful books and I highly recommend them.

Thanks for the welcome

I knew that Batman 13-17 would be definite pickups and I did some searching on Image Comics and was impressed on some of their series. Haven't really looked into Marvel and other DC series yet.

For anyone that's into Image Comics and lives in the San Francisco/Bay Area, Image is having a one day expo in SF on July 2. Here's the link for more info:http://www.imagecomics.com/expo/

I'm thinking of going just to learn more about some upcoming and current series during the panels as well as the expo exclusives.

Just joined the community as well. My latest pickups:

Read Vol. 1 of The Walking Dead in pretty much one sitting, and have started reading Watchmen as well.

So my local comic shop had a sale recently on trade paperbacks and hardcovers, both 40% off. Lets just say I added quite a bit to my collection.

Also, last weekend I was at a comic convention and one of the vendors had all trades and hardcovers at 50%, so I picked these up.

Can't believe I got such a great deal on these hardcovers, especially that Batman and Robin Absolute Edition!
