Has anyone got this? How is the quality?
Is it better than the disappointing italian release? (http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.ph...9&postcount=16)
Can't believe this film hasn't got a US/UK release.

Where's Criterion to release this?
Or they don't do WB films?

It's thru Paramount so Criterion could do it. I feel like if WB would have done it (as part of their Paramount deal) they would have during the oscar season. IMO. Who knows though.

I got this a few months back and watched it. For what it's worth I thought it looked pretty good. I don't have the Italian release to compare it to but I don't remember any of those problems being an issue.

I found some screenshots from what it seems another bluray of The Hours, but I don't know what release it is. It seems Taiwanese.
It has 2 English audio tracks and Chinese subtitles.

The screenshots seem pretty good!

This is one of my fave "Prestige" dramas of the past 20 years--and I am still amazed that there is no US release (unlike many other films I am shocked still don't have BluRays--classics like A Place in the Sun--this film is still relatively recent with three big name stars who are still pretty much in the general pop culture zeitgeist). Is the Japanese release worth picking up--and any place to find it cheaply? Is there any chance that we could see a release in the next year or so?
