BY HOOK OR BY CROOK real HD as expected, but also a huge amount of DNR applied. of course still much much better than the trash interlaced Joy Sales Crap Collection or other Version

Flashback8 said it best!

But, I just received my copy of Knockabout! Honestly, it`s a little worse than I thought it would be after viewing Warriors Two; which was a nice improvement over the previous Fox dvd. But, Knockabout is an extremely minor improvement over its dvd counterpart. Certainly a lot of "flicker"/grain but that may just be down to the source material; though, I didn't notice it as much on the old Fox dvd or HKL release. I prefer the skin tones on the old Fox dvd as them seem a little more natural looking. The blu-ray has that slightly peachy/redish skin tone (there were hints of that on the HKL release too). Perhaps they were a little too sun tanned. A tad too much in places.

I like the included pamphlet/booklet. Too bad I can't read Japanese. When I get some time later, I will take some photos of it and post them here.

Oh well, saves me money. Gotta save money for some Shaw’s.

Well, after Iron Fisted Monk arrives, I`m pretty much done with FS, until we get some legit 2 or 4k masters or if Nova Media releases more of these titles. The last thing they released was Mr Vampire which had only seen a Japanese release previously. Hopping they get around to release Iron Fisted Monk, Warriors Two and Knockabout or perhaps even some of the other GH titles that have yet seen blu-ray. I would really love to have Dreadnaught or Duel to the Death, or pretty much all of those old Fox dvd`s that I have on blu-ray.

It does seem like they've been pushing for more 2K and 4K restorations lately, they're just MUCH slower about releasing them than their DVD-focused days. Here's what we know that's currently in the pipeline (via various online promos or "evidence"):

4K restorations:
-Police Story (Premiering January 2018 at New York's Museum of Modern Art)
-Police Story 2 (Confirmed via Facebook photo)
-Police Story 3 (Confirmed via Facebook photo)
-Dragon Fist (film reel shown in L'Immagine Ritrovata promo video)
-Shaolin Wooden Men (film reel shown in newspaper photo)

2K restorations (all Confirmed via Facebook photo and show reel promo):
-Battle Creek Brawl
-Black Mask
-Full Throttle
-Running Out of Time 2
-Once Upon A Time in China And America
-Black Mask

Lord knows there's a ton more for them to work on, but they seem flip floppy in deciding what should be 2K and what should be 4K. Many, including myself, are confused as to why the Lo Wei JC films would get the 4K treatment, but perhaps it's less about the resolution and more the fact that L'Immagine Ritrovata (despite their occasional color timing issues) is far better equipped for heavy restoration needs.

Curious that Fortune Star would go to the bother of restoring this bunch when - apart from BRAWL - they all already had proper HD transfers. Not saying they were good or great, but they were at least HD. It's the Golden Harvest classics (e.g. The Prodigal Son, Warriors Two, etc.) that really need the work.

Perhaps they needed less restoration work? It's amazing that Celestial pulled off a multitude of HD Shaw Brothers transfers that have been around for 15 years now, yet the Golden Harvest series has had its ups and downs in the same timespan.

Celestial are leaving Fortune Star in the dust! Hell, everyone is leaving FS in the dust! And, they don't have a clue. They really need to update their catalog and promote these titles to keep them in the fan`s minds and hearts instead of letting them fade into obscurity.

It is ironic that Celestial butchered some of their films in the remastering process all those years ago but they are available in true HD. Yet, FS, have complete copies of films and are able to do proper restorations (with the help of Ritrovata) but are just not doing it.

Finally received my copy of Iron Fisted Monk after it was running a couple of days late. Yeah, normal upscale remix routine. Two trailers. At least they have included an original theatrical trailer. The other trailer was the UK trailer (for HKL), I do believe. Red/pink skin tones are pretty much kept at bay on this transfer. Things look a little more normal here, for the most part.

Though the Region code is listed as being "A", all three movies that I own (Knockabout, Iron Fisted Monk and Warriors Two) play just fine no matter what region code my player is set to.

The pressing quality is the same as you would get on pretty much any other commercial release. These are pressed and not burnt.

Well, I would imagine those 3 were available on dvd with an English dub at some point in time. I know for certain that Knockabout and Warrior Two were released on dvd with an English dub. As far as what is still available for purchase, I don't know. You would probably have to search some used copies from eBay or Amazon or wherever.
