What's that, an LD cover mockup? Those were the days.

M:I-RN Blu-ray art will almost definitely be Cruise hanging onto the plane, much like GP's art was the signature Burj Khalifa stunt.

Does the new mission impossible box set include the Best Buy exclusive special features for Ghost Protocol?

That would be ahistorical. That was an exclu that did not go wide later. Back cover artwork here at the site doesn't reflect those supps (nor does the fact that the disc count is four, not five). It doesn't include that content just like it doesn't include the second disc from the M: I-iii CE.

Something to be said for consistency, I guess.

They went from this (poster titles, not on-screen titles):

Mission: Impossible
M:I-2
M:I:III
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol

To this:

M:I
M:I-2
M:I-3
M:I-4

I actually like it. They're not, to my knowledge, altering the on-screen titles of the films, just on the packaging to let people know what order they go in. Sort of like the Star Trek re-releases that say Star Trek VII: Generations, Star Trek VIII: First Contact, etc.

I personally hate when they do that. The absolute worst is" Indiana Jones and the Raiders Of The Lost Ark". Ugh! If they released a Blu-ray with just the proper title "RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK" on the cover, I would probably buy it on principle.

I like it as long as the actual film hasn't been altered. If the title screen of Raiders of the Lost Ark was re-done to read Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, then I would object. But just having the packaging read Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark to make it more consistent with the sequels doesn't bother me at all.

Having said that, I believe that every single Blu-ray released should have reversible cover art, with the new cover on one side and the original poster art on the other, so even if you strongly disagree with what I've said here, you would still be able to have all the films on your shelf with their original titles.
