if you cant afford buying protective cases for all your steelbooks i would recommend buying comic bags. I just cut them to fit the steelbook with some scissors and transparent tape. This way they dont get scratches when sliding them in and out. You just have to be careful not to drop them as they will not be protected from getting dented.

There has to be something better than a shelf to keep them on too. I saw the potter set had a metal and velvet lined interior.

There's being protective and then there's taking it too far...

Thanks for your video! After watching it I've concluded that my Blu Steel SteelShells are most comparable to the SC3 ones you've got, so theres extra space if your steelbooks are unsealed like mine. On mine, the glue is just a thin strip along the bottom. Even though mine are a little big, I guess I'll stick with these for now since I don't quite care for the glue being on the back as you pointed out on the SC2.

Ignore previous video, I've deleted it and uploaded a new one with better (non-shaky) video and an actual sealed steelbook

Where do you buy the SC3 sleeves from? I have a bunch of Zavvi sealed steelbooks I'd like to store this way. And for that matter, how abut the SC2? Can this be bought at the same place? Thanks!!

Links are in the description of the video. Search for Steelbook Central either on Google or eBay.

EDIT: Just had a look and he seems to have run out of SC3. Now, I have a 10 pack of SC3 I've wanted to get rid of (bought in error, meant to get SC2). If you wanted, it'd help us both out if you bought a 10 pack of SC2 and we traded. Postage on these things can only be about a quid within the UK, surely.

My first order didn't do anything for 2 weeks and after I emailed him he sent them along with some samples of stands, a nice touch but still a pain. I suspect you will get your order eventually, just don't get in too big of a hurry with this one...
Never received any answers to my e-mail queries, but I did finally(!) receive the shipment today. Supposedly shipped on 18FE14 (even though I never did get the tracking number to work), so the wait was a little anxious...

FYI - Movie Style has restocked their supply of Sleeves that fit sealed (Still shrink-wrapped with j-cards) steels. They also made it possible to order sleeves for sealed and opened sleeves at the same time.

Sleeves for sealed SteelBooks
Sleeves for opened SteelBooks

8 packs (order of 80) works out to be $0.80 / sleeve shipped to USA. That's about the cheapest per sleeve you can get without having to order 400 let's say.

I haven't used the opened sleeves before but I highly recommend the ones to use with sealed Steels

Thanks for reminding me, I just picked up 80 for the sealed G2's, 80 seems to be the sweet spot for cheaper shipping.

I tried ordering earlier and PayPal wouldn't work. Then the credit card service failed, but my credit card has it listed as pending. I contacted Movie Style and they said it did not clear on their side and they would cancel the order.... so now I guess I'm going to wait for it to fall off my credit card and then try again.

Looks like they've removed PayPal now. Tried a different CC and it went through. This shipment will let me get 20 of them to another member here and box up the rest of my newer purchases. Then I'll probably grab 80 more for backups when the charge drops off my other card.

Did you get the unopened or opened style? I went for the opened since almost all of mine are opened (I have a few I've grabbed extras of for future resale/trading), and the small little gap in the current cases slightly annoys me.

I went for the unopened. Have some Asian steels that I won't be opening any time soon that need to be protected

I got some blu-steels coming in Liz's faux GB that I will be using for opened ones I like them the best for unsealed.

Sealed

Unsealed

That's the same sleeve using a sealed and unsealed steel... Not necessarily how the sleeves designed for the opened will look. Just for clarification
