Note

PLANET EARTH (2007 release) just dropped to £7 // 8.93 shipped so a hair under $15 shipped with a Fee Free CC. I'm pretty sure this is a new price point. I'm not sure if it might help anyone who ordered it a week or two ago, but Amazon Uk seems much more amenable to adjusting for post purchase price drops compared to the US sibling.

PLANET EARTH

Seems to be on backorderd at Amazon so select Amazon in teh right Hand Sellers option to see the best price.

Are there any studios/publishers that usually release the same disc across the different regions? I know they sometimes add more dubs in European languages, but I've read in some reviews of European blu-rays that the disc is supposedly the same transfer as the US one.
Those who post "same transfer" in reviews usually have access to both U.S. & European editions, and can compare them either visually or thru automated tools like BDinfo. (Some titles may have comparisons on sites like Caps-A-Holic.)

Theatrical releases belonging to the same "big six" studio in both U.S. & UK usually originate from the same transfer, varying only in cuts & dubs; sometimes the transfer is the same even if the studio is different. (Gladiator's botched initial transfer by Universal was used for both their UK version and Paramount's U.S. version.) To save mastering costs, many of them use the same masters in both U.S. & UK where possible, most commonly WB & Universal; even dubs are often the same on both discs. (It's not unusual to see both "Castellano" -- Castilian or "Spanish" Spanish -- and "Espanol", usually Latin American Spanish, on subtitle and/or dub lists in both U.S. & UK; the EU insists on the former while the Americas obviously prefer the latter.)
BD players: PS3 Slim 250GB; Sherwood BDP-5004 (region-free); HP P7-1010 (w/ LG WH12LS38K, AMD HD 6570, Hanns-G HL227, Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers, TMT 6, PDVD 11)
A/V hardware: Vizio E3D320VX 3DTV; Sony HT-SS380; Vizio Co-Star (Google TV); Radiient HDMI switch; Nook HD; Galaxy Tab 3 Lite; Moto G; iPhone 3GS

Thank you, RBBritain! That's good to know. Should save me a few USD/EUR on importing discs that I can then spend on importing (other) discs!

Default Dirty Harry

I think when I picked it up it might have been 9.99, but that was a while ago. (my memory could be bad as well!) $13.50 pounds is still pretty good.

Cheers,
Jay

It looks like £11.40 is the lowest price unless it was a Lightning Deal. LD's aren't always tracked by 3-Camel, but the VAT isn't removed either so that would have been £13 shipped. Today;s deal looks to be £14.30 shipped so not a huge difference if you want the boxset

Universal Monsters is down to 17.50 GBP now. With VAT removed, and shipping added, it's about $31

Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

$62.94 shipped

Edit: I just realized that I bought it for $16 less some time ago. The package ended up getting returned to Amazon for some reason though. Anyway, I think $62.94 is a good price but obviously it may go even lower.
