My copy came in the mail today from Best Buy. I've decided to keep the DVD as well and make my own combo pack since most of the Roadside Attractions are missing. I've looked at some scenes of the movie and there is some grain, which is good. Some parts of the transfer seen kind of iffy but it seems like a good transfer. The menu has the beginning of Jersey Girl by Bruce Springsteen playing over it, which honestly doesn't really fit if you ask me (and I love The Boss.) But it seems like a good disc.

It came in a whole cardboard display with all the other $5 titles. I guess they didn't have enough for every store.

Then WHY even bother making the titles exclusive if they don't have enough copies for all stores ?? The main reason that they create exclusives is to get customers in the stores....Just ridiculous

They're exclusive to JUST those stores.

Tell me about it. What good is allowing a retailer to have an exclusive for an item if they're not going to stock it in stores. If I have to order it online, I'll order it from Amazon instead. I'm just not impressed with the way Best Buy packages its orders ... which is why I rarely order from their website for delivery to my home.

I don't order from Walmart because they charge a flat $2 shipping fee for each DVD and each movie, no matter how many you purchase. And Overstock doesn't stock movies. Online retailers just suck. The only one I have been impressed with has been Amazon.

They must have really done something awful if you don't want to order from them. I ordered Jersey Girl plus 2 more of the exclusive Blu-ray's this past Sunday, and the package arrived on Thursday in acceptable condition. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get the movies in the store, but knowing that I can still order them makes up for it. Unless you have Prime, why would you want to wait 2 months to get Jersey Girl and possibly pay shipping charges through Amazon, versus ordering it from Best Buy and only having to wait a few days and pay no shipping?

Walmart charging a flat $2 shipping on each item ... don't need it that bad. And Best Buy's method of packaging leaves a lot to be desired. Best Buy used to take a lot of care in how they packaged merchandise for shipping but they haven't done that in some time. Considering that Best Buy's profits have been suffering, it's no wonder why they cut back on the quality of their shipping services.

And the Best Buy store near me still hasn;t gotten in Jersey Girl, a week after it was released. I just don't like to be forced to order from their website. I'd rather support retailers who put a little more care into their packaging methods, which is why it looks like I'll be ordering it from Amazon instead.

I've given up on trying to get this from Best Buy. I'm just going to order it from Amazon. Best Buy's motto seems to be "when an exclusive is not an exclusive? when we laugh at you for coming to our store thinking that we have it on stock". This is why I hate retailer exclusives. They get exclusives on such "off-the-wall" items that it's one of those "maybe we'll have it in stock" kind of things.

That's funny. Amazon cares about packaging methods? That's not my experience.

While you've been trying to get it from the store, I received it from Best Buy the day before their exclusive window started. It wasn't that hard. You're taking some hard stance against the easiest method for you to get this movie. I don't disagree that Best Buy's fulfillment people don't package well, but this isn't a steelbook that's going to arrive with dents. There's not even a slipcover to get trashed. If I were to order this movie by itself from Amazon, it would get thrown in an envelope and sent on it's way.... not much different from what Best Buy does.

Sun spots, tornados, plague, act of god or more simply: demand outweighed supply so Best Buy is just waiting for a restock.

I picked this up today. For $5 why not. It gets me every time Kevin smith talks bad about this movie. IMO it was alway a good movie.

I was curious and tried to place an order through BB's website for Jersey Girl and it listed an April shipping date. Best Buy really screwed up on this one. By the time it becomes available at other retailers, watch Best Buy finally get the damned movie in stock.

Kind of makes it ridiculous to get an exclusive on a movie when you cannot even stock it in your stores or on your website.

Oh, and Amazon does a better job at packaging than Best Buy does. Best Buy seems to grab anything they can and just slap it inside the package. It's those dull shipping mailers with the "inside sticky surface" where my Blu-rays always arrive damaged.

Mine got shipped last night! When i ordered it, it never said special delivery or nothing like that it just said ships in 3-5 days so i was surprised to see it hadn't shipped but luckily i will be getting it in a few days.

This is just too much. After over a month where Best Buy stores were supposed to get Jersey Girl in stock, the local Best Buy store has finally received copies of this Blu-ray. This thing happens to Target as well where retailers in certain regional districts will ignore the street date release for their exclusivity and simply only go by the official mass market street date on Blu-ray and DVD films.
