Haha AmrlKJaneway - exactly the same with us mate! Friends and I were super keen to see that but had to resort to ordering online. Didn't this only just get released on Blu-ray here a month or two ago? Talk about delayed.
Yeah, they did what I assumed and waited for a Christmas release. I think a Christmas release not at Christmas time is a marketing nightmare. Although I don't understand not releasing a popular franchise in cinemas at all... guess the other two didn't do great numbers over here. Always packed cinemas for me... Anyway, the long wait is why I knew I needed to order it.

We get most things on time though. Still no 3D TV stations that I know of, so I don't know what we're doing in this thread. But watching South Park is actually funny these days because the references are fresh and relevant, and we get to brag to yanks about seeing Marvel movies a week or two early, so I better not complain too much.

Cable is 1080i. Split that in two for a left image feed and a right image feed and you are watching 3D in only 540i.... hence the subpar image quality.

Default Netflix 3D

So my netflix has a 3D category but when I hit on it I get a 2D image. WTH??? If its not available right now why even give me the option to watch it??

Anyone else having this problem and how do we fix it?

I'm on RCN and I have both Super HD & 3D...only available on my PS3.
My Oppo 93 & Panasonic BD-310 only stream 720p, so not available on them.
My Panasonic GT50 has the Super HD option.

Now with the additional of 3D, I will be using my PS3 more!

Overall both features are definitely a plus for NETFLIX...just need more available viewing material.

Check here to see if your provider is supporting:

Ive got the Super HD part of the package but havent gotten the 3D part yet even though it shows up in my list. Guess it'll go wider slowly.

I heard about this today and checked it out on the PS3. The super HD shows up and all is good, the output resolution shows super HD, but like with Vudu the PS3 limits ANY 3D playback not on blu ray to 720p.

Thats been done for video games, and when 3D is on, these streaming services are handled in the same way as 3D games. It's really frustrating, and I don't know if Sony will change their ways. I remember when I first got my 3D TV, I was trying out things from Vudu, and had plans to buy some 3D movies, but since they were limited in the quality, I didn't. I messaged them about it and they acknowledged the issues, and said they were working with Sony, but had no actual idea if or when it would be fixed. I'm guessing that it either never will or that Netflix might be strong enough to make them change it. But seeing the films in Netflix's 3D category, I don't think there's going to be a massive reason or drive for it. Seriously, some of those titles?

Dredd is available in 3D from Netflix. The movie itself has a 2D or 3D option. I hope more movies are released this way.

They are, but on a separate ISP that your internet provider has to support.

Default 3D by mail?

I came across this site http://3dbymail.com/index/default.php and it has a great selection. The website seems pretty amateur, and looks kind of sketchy. I was wondering if anyone has had experiences with this website.
