The contrast is much more natural on the DVD. It's so high on the Blu-ray that it's clipping detail. Take a look at the sky and telephone lines which disappear. With that said, overall, I'd still give the Blu a slight edge for better color and slightly better detail. I need to grab this at one of those Best Buy DVD-to-Blu upgrade sales as it's always $4.99.

You are wrong and you must have crap eyes not to see that the DVD has more detail, less compression and more natural skin tones and colours. Sure in general terms the DVD isn't what I would consider reference quality and the DVD could be improved, but its so much better then the Blu-Ray that its laughable. FFS look at those macroblocks on the Blu-Ray! The DVD has no where near as many!

How the hell could anyone with half decent eye sight and half a brain say that these caps are equally crap and if anythign the Blu-Ray is more stable? Sorry but that is so idiotic I can't begin to explain it.
