I always compare JAWS 3-D to Creature from the Black Lagoon, Universal tried to recapture that "Saturday afternoon popcorn movie" feel. I also thought it was great to place The Shark in a different location, The Amity Island Story was over.

It's probably because of Michael Caine.

The scores of both are BY FAR the best parts of each film. They really didn't deserve the care that they got.

I actually love the Theme Park thing, too. I don't know if it's still there, but that was a real tunnel at Sea World in their shark exhibit. I also like a few of the character actors - the mom from MSCL, etc.

If I got the sequels on Blu tomorrow, that would probably be the first one I watched - especially if it was in 3D.
If you have to whip out a microscope to decide if you like a Blu-ray or not, you are missing the point.

4's score has never stood out to me, but I've loved Alan Parker's score for 3-D ever since I first saw it as a kid.

Nice! I don't have it, but I'd love to get it. How much does it sell for?

No guarantees, but I might be interested in selling mine if Universal announces the sequels as a boxset with the first. I'll try to remember to let you know when they announce the sequels (which will hopefully be very soon).

If the set includes the first, then I won't get the Digibook.
If it is like Poltergiest where it is only the sequels, then I'll want the DigiBook...lol...

You'll never see a boxset of all four films. Spielberg will not allow it. That's the reason you haven't seen it and will never see it.

If that's true (and I'd understand why Spielberg wouldn't want his film lumped in with the sequels), all the better because I'd rather get the sequels by themselves instead of having to rebuy the original along with them.

Yeah if they just do the sequels I still have to my copy of the first.

I guess we're in quite a pickle.
