Default Concerning the Japanese editions...

I'm not the only person who has removed their digibooks from the outer bags, am I? One of the bags tore almost immediately, so I just took them all out.

My intention is to peel the stat labels off the backs, stick them to cardstock, then slip them into the pockets of each digibook.
You can't stop progress.

No, you're not alone, I also removed mine (I was paranoid about having the adhesive stick to the sets when I put them back in the bag). I just flattened the bags and stuck them in a folder in the filing cabinet.

I've damaged 2 of mines by trying to put the digibook back into the bag after viewing the Blu-ray. I still keep all of them in their bags though despite the hassle of having to be very careful when placing them back into the bag after each viewing.

I have two and leave them out of the bag.

I leave my 3 digipaks (Kiki, Mononoke, Spirited Away) in their bags, but I pretty much treat them with kid gloves and don't open them all that often...
Forget The Evil Dead; what George Lucas has done to Star Wars since 1997 is truly "The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror".

I don't know why they don't just put the adhesive strip on the back edge of the bag, instead of on the edge of the flap - some of the aftermarket OPP bags have the strip on the back surface of the bag, and that makes it 100 times easier to put the case back into the bag without getting an adhesive flap stuck to the case...

When applicable I tend to keep sets in their bags and just repackage the discs so they're more accessible without me constantly handing a digipak for a show I love like the Madoka films or Fate series. Not sure what I'll do when I finally get around to the Ghibli sets...

We're talking about the Japanese Digipak releases - each comes in a resealable clear plastic bag, to protect them while stored on your media shelf... US releases just come with slips - if you buy them soon enough after they're released, that is...

I take the discs out and put them in a normal amaray case.
It's only a movie.

Just bought Ponyo and it came with a slipcover!........ not kidding - snagged a new/sealed copy on eBay with a slip. That was the only Disney Ghibli release I didn't have a slip for - I bought my original copy of Ponyo 3 years ago, and even back then it didn't come with a slip... so now every US Ghibli on my shelf has a slip except Grave of the Fireflies, which never came with one, because Sentai released it.

Your quote was kind of funny when read in conjunction with your signature I get why people want to take good care of their collectibles but then again "it's only a movie"
