I do when the import is the best (or only) edition available of the film I want. All things being equal, I prefer a non-region locked disc, but I'll get a disc of whatever region I gotta.

I wouldn't do that. I've ordered many from Amazon.co.uk and the only 1 that arrived damaged was replaced with a good copy without the need to send the other back. It is too costly for them to have it returned internationally so they just get you to keep the original shipment without extra charge.

^That depends on where you live, I've had to send back some steelbooks to them when they arrived damaged.
