YES!!!!

This a great film period! Really excited to see this pre-order, just wish it was sooner. I'm usually someone who ignores bad covers pretty easily, but this one is really G-d awful.

I believe, like True Romance, this film did pretty poorly when it was released but has been a very strong catalog seller throughout the years.

Of my remaining dvds, I was pretty certain this one would find its way to BD eventually.

It's in my list of top 10 bd wants from my dvds, so this is great news for me and, honestly, I just need something around a 3.5 for pq and I sure won't complain.

One of my most favorite films. I hope they do a great job on the transfer. Wonderful job on the cinematography.

No one else excited to get this GREAT and VERY FUNNY romantic comedy on Tuesday?

I've been excited for this since it was first announced. We love the movie so much we actually plan on watching it the night we get it. That's not very common around here.

The dvd got some very good reviews for pq, so I'm really hoping that translates into a very nice blu-ray.

I'd be surprised if either store has it. I've had it pre-ordered for a long time from Amazon and can't wait to come home and find it by my door tomorrow.

I, personally, think it's the worst cover EVER, but I'm not too hung up on that kind of thing. It's just something of note. The DVD art was perfectly fine. The font they used is horrible, the red, while and blue looks silly and they took out the Eiffel Towel from Behind Luc and Kate who are supposed to siting on a bench in Paris.

Not being political, but it does seem like someone from the Tea Party came up with this.

blue, white and red are the colors of the French flag.

This isn't the Three Colors Trilogy. It's definitely meant to look American-red, white and blue.

Looked quite nice. Either 3.5 or 4 depending just on how critical you might be. But definitely a very nice upgrade.

I had an issue with the subs that was my fault in the end, but had to pop in the old dvd to check and this dvd got a 4 out of 5 in pq in its day from dvdtalk and the thing was almost unwatchable.

Still puts into perspective just how great blu ray is compared to dvd, even if the studio doesn't go all out.

Thanks for the quick review Veronica, and the memorable quotes in your earlier post which reminded me of why this is one of our favorite romantic comedies too.

Glad to read that the PQ is decent - have been waiting for a version that had better PQ than the letterbox (non-anamorphic, 2000) DVD we have - yours is the only review of this blu-ray I could find on the web so far...
