Default Sleeping With Other People (Blu-ray Found) RARE?

As I was roaming around my local Family-Video, I came across something quite strange. A Blu-ray copy of Sleeping With Other People (an official disc with cover art and everything).

What makes this strange is that I can't find any details about it online (nor can anyone purchase it). The store sold it to me for $10. Does anyone else have information on this release?

So you'd rather pay more money plus shipping fees for something that can be easily removed?

I was looking all over for this release in the US as well, but when I saw the Canadian release for a good price I just got that one. Also was happy to see it came with a slipcover.

Where did you order your copy from? I ordered from Amazon.ca and it came without a slipcover.

So I had added this to my wish list a few months back when I saw there was a January release. But that date came and passed, and with no release I just figured it was pushed and there was no new date set.

So the weekend of Feb 27, I was at a Family Video and see it on blu-ray to rent. Couldn't believe it. I offered to buy it but the manager said he couldn't allow it since there was still sufficient renting demand, and he didn't know when he could sell it.

Excluding redbox, this means there's a whole 2 copies in town, and they probably won't sell one of them to keep renting. So my impatience kicked in and I ordered from Amazon.ca on March 1. It shipped on March 4, and arrived today. I mean that's almost as fast as amazon.com!

No slipcover, but I just wanted to own the film and it's really frustrating that this didn't get a domestic release. Moral of the story: If you want a copy, try a local video rental store and if that fails, just buy it from Amazon Canada.

This was also discussed in this thread I found when searching: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=270769

I got extremely lucky and picked up a copy from one of our local Family Videos for $3. It was NOT on sale and the people at the register were NEWER so they may have made a mistake in selling it. However, in the past when someone tried to sell something at F.V. that was NOT supposed to be sold a message would pop up on the screen (they can still over ride it) but no message did.

Very happy with that. I found out it was DVD+Digital HD and only going to be a DVD consumer for sale on the How does the Digital Code redeem thread (I'm butchering the name). They mentioned way back at release that the studio apparently $#it canned the idea of a Blu-ray release (YET) clearly had already made them when I saw them listed as Rental only and found them in F.V. I stalked the copies in both stores for many many months, so $3 + $$$ gas lol is more the real cost although I was going there anyway not just for This movie.

IIRC it is Vudu Mobile D2D as well. I already had purchased the Digital copy from a VUDU sale + T-Mobile Credits so that was disappointing but good for others that like both affordably.
