Looks like it's still coming with the slip, at least based on the pics Warner has put out

It's perfectly true that this is the picture on Warner's own website. But I cannot not believe they will actually issue it with Paramount's logo plastered all over it (it's presumably out of copyright by now). What I also don't understand is why the film's running time is different: 136' chez Warner, as opposed to 144' on last year's release. I've no way of checking any of this since NEITHER edition has been released here in the UK, nor is going to be if both studios' 2013 local schedules are anything to go by.

Okay, I've said this in other threads and it bears repeating here:

Warner does not have ownership of the Paramount titles they are releasing. Over 600 titles were licensed to Warner from Paramount's library. Warner is only handling distribution of the titles, Paramount retains all rights and elements.

Further, there will be no change to key artwork, only the UPC will be changed to reflect Warner as the distributor or if older stock is being sold, a new UPC sticker affixed over the old one.

Default Warner release extras?

Can anyone who owns the 2013 Warner Brothers release confirm whether it has the same three extra features listed for the 2012 Paramount release?

The price drop to $10.99 is encouraging me to pull the trigger.
Fun Fact: I am the same height ( 5'1'') as Carrie Fisher, Jean Harlow, Holly Hunter, Christina Ricci, Ellen Page, Emilie De Ravin, Anna Kendrick, Kristen Bell...yes great things do come in small packages :)

I ordered the $10.99 Warner version yesterday. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I'll post my finding (features, slipcover yay or nay, etc.) when I get the disc.

In the meantime, I've been reading up on Clara Bow's life and career a bit. She died at age 60 due to a heart attack. One has to wonder if this photo suggests anything that might have lead to a heart attack at such a young age.

Yeah, yeah, I know... "everybody did it" back then.

She was putting a lot more in her mouth than cigarettes... like the entire USC football team. (Sorry.) Bow had some serious sexual magnetism onscreen, but was one of those who wasn't able to make the transition to talkies. Oodles of personal problems, mental breakdowns, booze, and the usual high living likely took their toll on her as well.

I know, I was just making a cheap joke. 90% of the stories in Hollywood Babylon are patently false, but it still makes for entertaining reading. I wouldn't be surprised, however, if Montgomery Clift's nickname was 'Princess Tinymeat'.

Edit: Wow, I put italics around 'was' and my post is suddenly edited. They don't give you much time here, do they?

Just got my copy of the 2013 re-release. It appears to be the same BD, just with a new WB barcode stuck over the old one. Has the 3 bonus features. Unfortunately no slip though

Ditto. Got my $10.99 Warner-distributed version from Amazon. It has the same three bonus features as listed in the review for the $18.99 Paramount-distributed version. In fact, the cover sheet still has the Paramount logo on it. No slipcover and a WB UPC sticker stuck over the Paramount UPC to the clear plastic on the keep case.

The clear plastic on my keep case had wrinkles in it (I've seen this before, I guess it's from heat or something). So I swapped the keep case for an extra I had laying around. No more wrinkles and no more WB UPC sticker.

Did you ever get a response back? Just got my order from Amazon - same as others, new WB UPC and no slipcover.

Got a Price Tracker notification this morning that this title had dropped down to $1.50. Yes, one dollar and fifty cents. But I go to the page and the price is $14.99 and there's no tracking history listing it that low. Funny thing is, my price tracker is triggered when it drops below $10, so I'm wondering if it actually did briefly drop that low (a glitch at Amazon). It was probably a glitch on this site's end, but man, I would have loved to snag it at that price!

It was just by accident that I had a look at this site when I got into work this morning and noticed all the price drops. For once I lucked out!
