You would have thought as the steelie was the exact same for the whole of Europe these ones would have the faults ES customers have found on theirs, First run has a hairline mark and second this spine scratch does not give you much hope for the next 2 fortcoming exclusives from them
Ive lost count of how many times Ive typed this but my Spanish steelbook has no marks, scratches anything. Ive examined it very closely. Pretty amazing really considering it came from Spain in the usual brown envelope.

My French one arrived today (well I finally collected it from the sorting office) and it has the line that the first run of ES copies had from the R all the way down, Very faint but you can see it in certain light.

Well... doesn't this now prove that they were all part of the same run? Thus, the manufacturing cost per unit would have been the same for all parties. Therefore, ES knowingly gouged their customers with scalper-like prices for their "exclusive" which could be obtained from other European sources for a cheaper price.

How much cheaper was it to get Jack Reacher from Europe, including shipping? I'm talking retail price, not eBay price.

I can get Jack Reacher for 17 GBP from Mediamarkt, shipping included.
Exact same version.

So why does ES charge 10 GBP more for a faulty steelbook?

I know originally it was 25 + postage. So not to much cheaper than ES UK version.

Yh but I don't think they ship to UK. For everyone in the UK the steel wasn't that much more money compared to trying to import from another country.

I would like to say that the use of the word faulty might be a bit erroneous with regards to this issue. The case has a relatively minor defect. The product itself is not faulty.
