Hmm, nice. I may have to reinstate my Prime for this if it's still up in the next couple of days.
Detective Cameron: I got good news and bad news, girls. The good news is your dates are here.
Sorority Sister: What's the bad news? Detective Cameron: They're dead. |

Is that 40th Anniversary Edition still coming from Warner Bros. (under their New Line Cinema label) in 2014? |

Personnally I felt that the remake far surpassed the original, and the same can also be said about The Last House on the Left. I've seen the original many times, and try as I might to like it, I just don't. I found the remake was more intense and scary and keeps me at the edge of my seat.
This is just my personal opinion...

I'm an old fart of 48, and I think the remakes are just pale shadows of the originals....
To be totally fair, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, taken on its own merits, was.... OK (the less said about the subsequent sequels/prequels, the better). The Last House on the Left remake is garbage. It's just another Hollywood horror movie and completely lacks the grit and sheer nastiness of the original. It also has one of the stupidest endings of all time. |

I love both the original and the remake. They're very different films. They should've called the remake a sequel, it would've been received better.

Probably no info on it till next year since 2014 will be the 40th. That's my guess anyway. |
