Can't believe how long this thread is, and how quickly the Kuro family is growing, AWESOME!!! I made the jump to the Pioneer Kuro 5020FD back in February and to this day I a blown away by its performance, even under natural light conditions (windows etc) the anti glare screen is amazing. That was my main concern during purchase time.

Anyways was wondering has anyone played around with the built in "Home Media Gallery" with the Ethernet hookup on the back. I have yet attempted this, but am iching to give it a go.

Since my Home-Theater setup is far away from my network PC (Router) I was going to grab one of these,

http://www.dlink.ca/products/?pid=533

and run a "bridge" type setup. to pickup my Router in the other room.

Then is it a simple as adding the PS3 or a laptop to the Network?

After that I should be able to stream Audio/Video/Picture Files on my Kuro correct?

If anyone has any info regarding this, please shed some light.....

Thanks again,
Love this forum....

Why not just get a wireless router? I have this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014J07R2/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lp o-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00007KDVI&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX 0DER&pf_rd_r=122V0Q4C28FW91XMFXXX and it works well. I have yet to have a broken signal with this model after going through several other wireless routers with the antennas that have to be pointed just right. This router I have now stays blocked most of the time with boxes and and a few walls between my wifi equipment (bluray player/ps3,laptop) and works pefectly. We have streamed a few netflix movies and never have had a problem.

Just thought I'd throw that out there since it costs less than half the price of the dlink powerline.

Im wanting to do the 150hour D-nice suggested breakin period for the krp500m. Is the 150 hour recommended burn-in settings required CONTINUOUSLY without powering off the tv, or can it turned off periodically? Thanks

It's recommended non stop, however not everyone can have their plasma running 24 hours a day for almost 6 1/2 days straight. People will run the break in images while they are home to make sure that the set and DVD are functioning properly, which is totally understandable, and shut the set off when they are not around to monitor it.

I broke in my set non stop because 150 hours is a long, long time when you have a new toy!

I highly doubt you'll be hurting the set by shutting it off before the 150 hour mark. I'd suggest you get some second opinions on the matter, but that's my thought process on it.

There she is. I paid about $1800 when it was all said and done for this TV, and it was money well spent. Just watched some Star Trek on it, and . The biggest improvement from what I had to this would be no more color banding. That is something that I don't miss at all. When watching wide screen movies, the black bars disappear into darkness of the room - love that.

TV is not without its cons though. There is a buzzing, which isn't very loud, but when you go from menu to menu or there is complete silence, you hear it. Seems loudest when the PS3 doesn't give the TV a signal (when pressing play on a movie. and it loads for a second). The other strike against it would be how finger prints LOVE this TV, lol.

All in all, worth every penny and a very happy KURO owner!

congratulations! nice setup also.

If the buzzing is really loud maby you should try and get another one. but if its low then thats normal on some sets. mine buzzes to, but i have to be real close to the tv to hear it. im guessing its a normal tv buzz. though some people have gotten kuros with no buzz at all.

Nah, buzzing isn't near as loud to warrant me getting a new/better one. I think it's just the normal buzz, but it's there. My old TV had a fan that was audible and didn't bug me, however the plasma buzz is at a higher frequency and it is a tad bit more annoying. I only complain because it's the only thing to complain about, lol. Excellent TV.

Drew, awesome setup man! I love mine too. It seems as if mine has a higher frequency buzz too. It could just be me, after working in a steel shop for years, the 'ol ears have a slight ring to them...guess that's why I can tolerate a Klipsch speaker too...haha j/k.

Is it just me or do these Pioneers ever get IR? I have left PS3 games on pause, left menu bars open and everything and not a hint of IR what so ever. I haven't exactly left these screens on for hours or anything but a good 15-20 minutes here and there. It's not like I'm trying to make it appear but I have noticed it on my old panny and a few other folk's plasmas after just a few minutes. Could they be this resistant to IR or the dreadful burn-in?
