No they're not...The single disc edition (in regular Blu case) is in the Walmart dump bin for $7.88 (I just saw 5 copies at my local store the other day), and the digibook is still being offered through Amazon for $21:

Nice - I will have to check my local Walmarts. I sort of did for other titles anyway and this is just more of a motivator now.

Doh! And I just ordered the collector's edition set yesterday at $25 since the standard version was going for so much...

Oh well, I'll live.

Yeah, anytime their status is "Ships within 10 days" it means they're OOS and are waiting for more. I've had orders ship within that 10 day window, but usually it is a bit longer.

Picked up the 40th anniversary box last week, watched it yesterday. Lots of fun, Gene Wilder is a special talent! Hard to believe its been so long since his last flick...

The 144 page book that comes with it is awesome, on the back Roger Ebert compares it to The Wizard of Oz, I must agree on that one, BOTH my collector's sets of Willie & Wizard (now OOP) are cherished sets!

Gene Wilder: 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory' Was 'An Insult'

I agree. I'm a Tim Burton fan, but I do agree that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was awful.
BIG Pittsburgh Penguins and Chloe Grace Moretz fan!

I just finished watching this with the commentary on, and was surprised that some of the "kid" actors did very little talking. Denise Nickerson, Julie Dawn Cole, and Paris Themmen dominated the whole thing, with the others popping up occasionally. What's the point of reuniting after so many years for an audio track, if you're not going to speak?
