Considering it has said "Notify me when in stock" since December yet it still allows you to purchase with a big red "Ships in 5 days" at the checkout... I'd say it's less than legit.

I'm guessing that since everyone is resorting to sites like this that the set is not available anywhere but eBay for $500+ ?

I was coming back to give an update on my order and so I'll answer you too.

Yes and yes.

Past 10 days and it can't hold the order indefinitely on the chance they get one or find one. I just submitted for a refund since I used paypal which I found out after means you pay before vs a credit card which pays when ships.

I want all of these and I know that they are releasing separate, but bulk buy would have been cheaper, + the series 7 Blurays would match which would bother me to no end, and I want the extended 2010 proms. Not paying 560 to 900 for it though.

I'd seriously stop obsessing over it for a while. The set was very limited and the price now makes it not work for your purposes anyway.

Hopefully they re-release it with just the discs and not the other stuff.

Those crying angels gave me the willies....I'm gonna have bad dreams tonight.

Are they new characters, or were they from years past?

They're new to the modern shows. "Blink" was their first appearance.

Unfortunately I think they've been kind of driven into the ground now and overused. Their part in the last episode was especially eye-roll inducing for me.

They creeped me out also, and I never really paid attention to those episodes. I probably missed a ton of story.

I have this already but there is one sitting at my local Best Buy here in Pa!

Wonder if I should buy it and resell it?

I'm sure a member here would gladly take it off your hands if you don't charge an outrageous amount for it.

Agree. Surprised there is one still floating around. Just don't charge $1200 USD for it.

When did this go back into stock? I had this on my price tracker and noticed today that it changed for N/A to $314.98. Its not from a third party seller either, its straight from Amazon. I would grab it but that is still too steep when all I really want are the pre Smith series.

Must have been today or in the last couple days. Kind of makes me a little annoyed that I overpaid a few months back under the impression it would be gone forever. Oh well. Good for all those waiting for it. At least the little photos look good on my wall.

Ordered it now even though I still think it's a bit pricey. But better than paying much more for the scalped one on ebay.

*checks it out*

Hmm, I still haven't received my tax money yet, but once I do, if it's still available, I'll consider ordering it...

Me thinks they have a warehouse full of them and are releasing them slowly. Or not?

Maybe someone here can help me... I am wondering: what WASN'T included on the limited edition set? I want to make sure I am not overlooking anything. (I am still really new to Doctor Who). Are the standalone releases of The Day of the Doctor and The Time of the Doctor both missing and are those the only two things not in the set? It seems that way, but I want to make sure. I know some clip-show extras are also not included but I'm not bothered about that. I just want to make sure to follow up with the correct releases and also am a bit concerned as the one set says 'best of the Christmas specials' -- that's just because some are in the season sets and/or still being released (like the two I have mentioned) right?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.

EDIT: OK, so I feel silly... the 'best of' is literally a best of supplement on the exclusive bonus disc. But I still want to make sure I am not missing/skipping over anything. (I did see that the bonus disc has a 90 minute symphonic music presentation that was done, and I am sure that will be amazing when I get around to seeing it).

Here's another newbie question: Can I watch Series 1-4 straight through and then jump into the complete specials (the set with all of the David Tenant standalone specials?) I want to make sure I wouldn't mess anything up if watched out of order... I don't know where these specials fall in place other than that the last special wraps up (more or less) his send-off as the Doctor (from what I can gather).

Your not missing anything and the specials directly follow series 4. The only thing not included in this set is Day of the Doctor and Time of the Doctor.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it.

On a semi-related note... you don't think Time of the Doctor would be included in the eighth season set, right? Seeing as how it's a new Doctor for the eighth season I would think that this special would only be available as a standalone.
