Sleeve shouldn't scratch it and even if it did a little BDs are much more durable than DVDs, so it shouldn't be an issue. The booklet is actually nice, it's just too thin and looks odd on the shelf. I am still glad I have it though.

This is definitely the worse looking, thin, cheap looking "digipack" out there.

I like it. I actually enjoy a little bit of variety in the cases, as long as they don't go crazy with the dimensions.
TV: Pansonic ST50 60", Pre-pro: Emotiva UXM 200, Amp: Crown XL1500 (3), Speakers: Polk RTiA7, RTiA3, CSi6, PWS125 sub, Blu-ray: PS3 (New system in progress)

I was a little disappointed by how slim the digibook was, but then I mailed it to John Carpenter to sign, and now I like it just fine.

[Show spoiler]

Sent to his office with a SASE:
John Carpenter c/o
Storm King Productions
8033 W. Sunset Blvd.
Suite 1044
Hollywood, CA 90046

How much did it cost you to get autographed?

Postage both ways would be my guess. Carpenter is known to sign all things mailed to him, as long as they include return postage. He doesn't charge extra like at conventions.

Every time I see this thread bumped I keep thinking that the original Halloween will be released as a standalone Blu-Ray with the mono soundtrack finally fixed.

You're right. The sleeve shouldn't scratch it because of the smooth paper, but I still would have preferred a disc tray with hub.

Yes, just postage, and maybe 4-5 weeks.

If I order the Universal release from Amazon, will I get the corrected disc? Has anyone ordered recently that can confirm?
