Remember when "The Box" used the Saw music in its trailer?

I've seen each SAW movie once and only once.

I can remember a lot of stuff from the first one but little to nothing from the sequels. This tells me everything I need to know about this franchise.

So...to whoever is thinking about or moving forward with a reboot, I say...f**k right off!

There's lessons in these movies, really even if you don't see it. Meaning be grateful of what you have or it can be taken away from you like that. And if you're stuck in that situation it shows what one person will do to another or a few to survive.

Yes, the message of "if you're trapped by a deranged serial killer in a series of elaborate death traps, some people will screw you over to survive". A message for the ages and a message almost everyone will learn from in real life

I'm good for people liking these films, but like them for the reasons that they portray, people dying in cringe worthy and elaborate ways.

or you could say if you do bad things, bad things will happen to you. Cause if you notice through out the series no one really is innocent, but Jill (Jigsaw's former wife) Everyone get catches so to speak has done something, whether it being a drug user, drug dealer, a convict, crooked cops, businessmen, people who work for the city or whatever else.

But yes alot of these people go to see theses movies to watch people die in different and unique ways.

You're still stretching it though, I'm pretty sure at least 50% if not more children show/films/stories have that mentality in them.

I think all the films were pretty good. Were some of you expecting some Academy Award winning performances and writing or something? LOL they were pretty clever and interesting for the most part. I've always enjoyed them, and I will continue to enjoy them if they make more. I'm all for it.

What I loved the most about the SAW films is that even the good characters
[Show spoiler]turn out not to be so good and makes you second guess caring about them!

The traps was the gimmick for the movies, but ironically I found the storyline itself to be far more interesting than them. The thing that blows my mind about this series is the crazy level of plot twists (it was very much like Lost coincidentally which came out the same year as the original film) and things to follow. The Saw films have to be a nightmare for critics in some ways since they aren't simple slice and dice slasher fare, but instead have a dizzying amount of storytelling and even characterization so they can't be classified as brainless Friday the 13th type stuff.

I loved the first one... I couldn't stop thinking about it WEEKS after watching it. Great surprise movie.

As for the rest... I watched up to part 4 or maybe 5...
[Show spoiler] it was the one where if they worked as a group they could have passed all the traps easily

I never saw anything after that and I am curious about 6 as some have told me it was decent...

If there's a reboot, Jigsaw needs to do major damage to some sex offenders.

First was ok and I've kept it in my collection. But the rest of the series, were straight to DVD quality films released in cinema.

I'd be happy if they leave it well enough alone. In less than a decade, seven were released. Isn't that enough for now?
