It shocking how long these movies are taking to appear on Blu-Ray.

My only guess is they're converting them to 3D. We've already seen what can be done with Titanic.

Fingers crossed.

I think its worth mentioning James's latest 3D documentary in theaters had a scene or two fully converted of the Abyss. It was... EPIC.

If I recall various scenes, underwater obviously, scenes were they were walking around. And the one where she is on the cliff staring at the UFO.

The movie was the Deep Sea Challenger documentary. So naturally feeds about what is and what lies at the depth.

What's the point? It could end up being 2025 at this rate.

The original unaltered Star Wars trilogy will be released on Blu-ray before The Abyss comes out on Blu-ray.

I believe we'll nuke ourselves, slowly rebuild civilization, create a warp drive space vehicle from an unused nuclear missile, then fly it and be detected by an advanced alien species(who just happen to be in the neighborhood) who will land on Earth and contact us...............long before we'll ever get The Abyss on blu-ray.
