I hate to resurrect old threads, but seeing as the game's on clearance now at Best Buy ($9.99) and I bought a copy yesterday (for the PS3), for those that are still playing it, are the freezing issues still there?

I don't recall having freezing issues. I loved playing online but last time I logged on there was only 1 game going.

Maybe it's a platform-specific issue? I was reading the previous pages and it seems that a few users were experiencing freezing issues on the PC and Xbox 360, and I think one person encountered this on the PS3, so this had me concerned.

I'll give it a go this evening. I know the SP campaign is really short, but it's the only facet I'm really interested in (did spend time in MP when the demo came out; not bad, but not great).

I loved this game, if you ever want to play multiplayer let me know. :P

I loved the sp as well played it several times through.

I don't recall any freezing, and I purchased the game at launch, bought another copy for my uncle and me and him played it together online.

I have the PS3 version. I played through the campaign as well. I'm usually anal about freezes and stuff but I don't remember them. It has been a while since I played through the campaign.

Either I'm rusty (with FPS), or the COD games were far more forgiving when it came to taking hits. For a SP campaign that many reviewers said were really short, it's taking me longer to progress through the game than I thought it would. It's not as if I'm playing on the highest difficulty level either (on regular difficulty at the moment), but I'm spending as much time respawning at the last checkpoint as I am engaged in battle.

Maybe it's an isolated incident, but the game did lock up on me during the third chapter. It froze while I was in the process of jumping off a building ledge. I don't think it's an overheating issue, as I was only a couple of hours in.

I bought this on release and traded it in for a lot of credit about a month or two afterward. Decided to picked it up again at BB today used for $8.99. The case, disc, manual and everything were in great shape. Thought I was getting a great deal. Then put in the disc and the servers are offline. Apparently they went off when THQ went bankrupt a few weeks back. Great purchase, lol.

oh damn, that sucks! I was thinking about going online last week but didn't get to it. Oh well.

Oh man, what does this mean about Frontlines: Fuel of War? I was going to pick that up for my 360 one of these days.

I thought the game was pretty darn good honestly. I'm not into multiplayer, so am only commenting on the single. But I thoroughly enjoyed it.
