hands down Resident Evil..
When i got home that evening, I went straight to the garage and practiced my draw and SHOUT techniques as well as my roll, somersault and aim drills and made myself a promise that I would never ever be caught off-guard again.-dfinch

Tomb Raiders, all the Resi films and Hitman. I don't watch these films for compelling storylines, just the action and wicked FX !

i dunno to be honest, but i liked super mario bros. it's just a film that if don't take it serious ya will enjoy it better. if you are asking me if i think that is the best one the answer is no.

Mortal Kombat is a decent film. i haven't seen any of the sequels so i can't say how good or bad they are. Street Fighter the one with Van Damn is a decent movie as well. Tomb Raider are good as well. house of the dead i agree is shit.
but i loved the 2nd one.

anyone here a fan of Cinema Snob? he did a review for the mario bros. porn films! & they are funny as hell! anyways, as for video game films. one of the worst ones is easily "Alone in the dark" i haven't seen the sequel so i can't count that but the 1st one sucked ass.

Resident Evil for me is the best one. Max Payne was well is a decent flix. nothing great nothing special but a decent film to watch on a rainy day.

i don't know what is the worst one, but they i agree have made a LOT of shitty ones. i haven't seen double dragon so i can't comment on that one.

but these are my pics cause it's the only ones i can really think of to be honest. & the CGI film of "Resident Evil' is great as well.

I thought that Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat, Silent Hill and Hitman were all good video game adaptations and enjoyable.

And while others may hate them, I also enjoyed Street Fighter, Doom and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

I think it's pretty telling of the faith in video game films that the ones mentioned in the first couple posts as "coming up" (God Of War, Gears Of War, Bioshock), a grand total of ZERO of them actually got produced in the last 4 and a half years since the thread started.

The Resident Evil films have absolutely nothing to do with the games. I don't get it. Like does Paul WS Anderson even play the games or does he not believe in original source material?

the best one, imo (which, funnily enough, doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme of things) would be the resident evil movies. i've never played the game(s) so i can't do a proper comparison, but imo it's a pretty decent movie.

has anyone here ever seen the far cry movie?

i've heard it was pretty deplorable.
disney films that need to be on blu-ray:
the adventures of ichabod and mr. toad | treasure island | 20,000 leagues under the sea | old yeller |
darby o'gill and the little people | pollyanna | swiss family robinson | the absent-minded professor | big red | mary poppins | the world's greatest athlete

Except for Nemesis, Jill, Carlos, Leon, Barry, Ada, Wesker, Claire, Chris, Dr. Ashford, William Birkin, Nicholai Ginovaef, Lickers, Zombies, Las Plagus, T-Virus, Umbrella, Raccoon City, and more that don't come to mind right now. You can't follow the story of the games for many different reasons. The character of Alice was created a as a means to deviate from the games and create an adaptation and a good one at that.

Maybe you should read this:
http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-reason...er-than-games/

Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of the games and they are better than the movies IMO but to say the movies have nothing to do with them is just stupid.

D.O.A. is kind of a guilty pleasure. If you include animated movies, i enjoyed the Street Fighter ones. Professor Layton was fun as well.

My favorite is probably Silent Hill. It's about the only one I've come across that actually managed to capture the atmosphere of the game even though the film itself is only decent.
