No. I quite enjoy it. But I understand I am in the minority but like we all agree, to each their own.

There are drawbacks sure and I notice one or two from time to time (most glaring is how fake Christopher Lloyd's old Doc makeup in the beginning of Back to the Future looks) but I quite enjoy the effect.

It felt like watching it on TV where they speed it up a bit.
I have had quite a problem in this department. I have a few concert Blu-Rays and the issue of playing with the Motion Enhancement on is most glaring with any camera shot to singing or drumming. The singing or drumming do not match the audio.

I don't have a TV that has this effect, but i watched a bit in a shop.
It played Lord of the Rings.
It was totally BAD!
It takes out the magical quality of the movies..

Which is also why i don't like today's digital films, but the old ones that were shot in film..

Motionflow feature is amazing.

I use it on most material. Looks particularly great on concerts, animation, action movies, porn. Porn looks great with motionflow on.

I just wish the material was natively at that high framerate as this feature does introduce some artifacts as it has to guess what the extra frames would have looked like if they were present in the material.

It would be amazing if we had native 60 fps material like PC games.

This is what I watched when learning more about the Perfect Natural Motion effect.

The more you know right?

Console games run at low frames per second and I currently play them with the smoothing on to try and cut out the judder. Found footage films might look more convincing with the feature, I haven't tried it.

Otherwise, I hate it. I turn it off on other people's televisions too.

I generally don't use frame interpolation, but there is one movie where I do... The dream ballet sequence in Oklahoma is a jaw dropper when you use interpolation. Since Todd/AO starts out with 30fps, it works much better than 24fps movies. Try it, you'll see for yourself!

First thing I do with any new tv is turn this feature off. My girlfriend and I both get headaches when the feature is on. It's especially painful when the camera pans around, it's so darned blurry looking. That and it makes everything looks "real", there goes the magic!

Absolutely none. The first thing I do when I get a new TV is make sure that crap is turned off.

So last night I watched Cloverfield with the Panasonic's "24FPS Smooth Motion" feature turned to "High".

It enhances the "videolike" aspect of the image, to be sure. I will now always enable the feature for handicam films.
