You must not have seen the remake of The Fog. That's entering Sharkanado territory.

The remake was fine. Fans just didn't want it. I expect it played better to viewers who hadn't seen the original and had no emotional investment in the franchise. I've seen many terrible contemporary remakes and Elm St. isn't one of them.

I've said it a billion times before and I'll say it again: the Elm Street remake was a great film. Some of the issues people have with it are not without merit, but a lot of the hate just stems from folks' inability to distance it from the original.
Favourite film: Blade Runner --- Favourite director: David Lynch
Favourite album: Movement by New Order --- Favourite novel: It by Stephen King
Currently reading: Celebrity by Thomas Thompson

LA ROUX - TROUBLE IN PARADISE (OUT NOW)
(Uptight Downtown / Kiss and Not Tell / Cruel Sexuality / Paradise is You / Sexotheque
Tropical Chancer / Silent Partner / Let Me Down Gently / The Feeling)

Craven needs to cook up something great, they film it, then be done with it.
That already happened in 1994. It ended up being the least successful NOES film at the box office, despite being (in my opinion, at least) the best film in the whole franchise. See, the thing is, people are always gonna say "just one more time!" At what point does "one more time" stop, and just leave the poor old guy alone? haha

Anyway, Englund's never coming back. Ever. If he does, I'll eat his greasy hat.

What would have been awesome was that if the alternate ending with Pinhead by Doug Bradley was included.

New line doesn't own the pinhead character so there couldnt have been. Yeah, it would have been awesome if they could have you're right.

Anyone fancy a bit of Dokken?
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain.
Time to die.
