Default Arma II - Dayz Mod

Has anyone played this Zombie Mod for Arma II? My friend is thinking about getting both me and him a copy so we can play co-op. Apparently this has moved Arma II to the top 20 games downloaded on steam.

Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

Both of my sons are hooked on this game, as is my daughter's boyfriend. I've watched some game play, and it looks like fun. The game engine is a POS from what they've all told me, and being an alpha mod it's extremely buggy and subject to hackers.
Genius has its limits, however there is no limit on stupidity.

APC H15 | XBox 360 | Sony PS3 Slim

The game engine is certainly not BF3, but it is okay. As for the mod being alpha, i have read on their site lately and it appears that one of their most recent updates helped combat the hacker issue. I hope that it is not a huge issue now. The concept of a huge zombie survival game on an island just sounds fun. Granted, this is one game my wife will probably not play

Yeah I have been waiting to play this game. I am holding out for ARMA II combined operations to go on sale during the Steam summer sale that starts next week.

Right now it is 29.99 for both Arma II and combined operations. What is it suppose to drop too?

He means the sales for the digital download site Steam, which is well known for big discounts during their special season sales that lasts at least a month. Games are off usually 50-75% off their retail price. The ARMA II pack should be in that sale considering it's popularity, so it's possible to get it for $7-$15. Even $20 can get you alot. For example; Last winter I got the whole GTA collection (including IV and episodes) for $12.50 (75% off it's $50 price).

I need to save up a little cash for this.

I know. The 29.99 is the price is the Steam price for both Arma II and the expansion. I was asking what the new price was going to be during the sale. I do love to take advantage of the steam sales as well.

We don't know yet, but keep in touch on steam when the summer sales start. You never know if/when they'll have it for $7 on one day, only to turn back to $30 the next.

Hate when that happens. Or you buy a game only to see if 75% the next That happened to me during their sales last year.

POS as in not finished, lots of clipping, etc. Unless the update you were referring to just happened in the past couple of days, it didn't help. They were all playing right before the 4th and everyone on the server was lifted into the air and slammed to the ground by some hacker (killed them all). I actually had a good laugh at that one.

Don't get me wrong, the game looks like something I would spend an inordinate amount of time playing, and should be fantastic once the bugs are fully worked out. I'd love to see a version for the 360, as that's where I prefer to game.

Yeah, they still definite issues. That would have been funny to see. I was actually reading between being on this forum, that they are working getting Beta released soon. That could be a bigger update.

My friend sold his stuff and bought himself and me a copy. This game is really fun, but pretty hard. Run and gun = Death. Luck can't even save you. This is most definitely a stealth game.

For anyone interested... looks like DayZ is being made into a standalone game.

Yeah, I had heard that. It is going to be set after the minecraft model. This game is going to be epic. Have you played the mod so far?
