Anyone confirm if the hongkong version of casino royal is uncut and region A?

Since Hong Kong is a Region A territory, it'll definitely be Region A (or Region-free). As to whether it's uncut, I have no idea.

The latest UK release, however, is uncut and Region-free.

The one thing I find odd is the one on my link list the disk as "Region B/2" are you sure its region free?

It's the same disc as the one in the UK Bond 50 set and all those are region free apart from Quantum of Solace.

Amazon is usually wrong about Region locking. I have the disc, and it is definitely Region-free.

Does the CASINO ROYALE trailer and teaser exist on any disc or high quality download/streaming service? Does anyone know why it's not on the Regoin A/1 DVD and Blu-rays? TIA

Because Sony doesn't like including a film's trailers on its Blu-ray release. Weird policy but I'd say 90% of their discs don't include the film's own trailer (the big exception is their Sony Pictures Classics line). They do usually include a shitload of trailers for other movies though.

I imagine for MGM/Fox's re-issue of Casino Royale, they didn't have the trailers available from Sony. Dunno of any download/streaming services, but I've noticed the theatrical trailer for Casino Royale on other Sony Blu-rays, such as The Pursuit of Happyness, Angels & Demons, Bad Boys, The International, and The Mask of Zorro.

A bit of a shame as Casino Royale & Die Another Day are the only Bond films which don't include their trailers on their BDs. Skyfall only includes one of a few trailers that were released.

This question was asked in the thread for The Hunger Games. One of the people who worked on the home video release said that trailers are/aren't included based on the whim of studio execs. Sometimes, they think that people don't need to see the trailers for movies that they've already bought. That is rather unfortunate since collectors have to go hunting for the trailers.

In the YouTube era, I don't see what's so wrong in not including trailers for recent films...you can always find them somewhere online easilly enough. Granted, it'd be nice to have them on disc, but it's certainly no great loss. Now, trailers and TV spots for older films...yes, I'd prefer to have them on disc.

Thank you so much. I'll be checking my Sony BDs tonight and if I don't find it I'll pick up THE INTERNATIONAL. It looks like a good film anyway.
