I purposly bought the CD to see for myself and I am sure the speakers are just fine. Just a big rolloff issue in the lows, they just don't hit that low note the way it's meant to be played and it's normal coming from a monitor.Nothing to do with speaker design i think.
What's the mysterious track that's causing all the problems? I want to give it a try on my rig!!!

I hope for his sake he hasn't damaged his speakers to Thank you sir for the recommendations I can't wait to check them out
the 160s are tried and true, I dont think they should get a bad rap cause they cant reproduce some insane frequencies that exist on one track.

It certainly is, I used my subs virtually all the time with the 110's and quite often with the 5.4's.

I'm pretty much in the same frame of mind as yourself, admittedly there's some pieces I'd like to add but am in no rush to do so. Can't say I'd really be upset if those things never happened.

I'm sorry about your sub amp . Have you considered just replacing the amp ? That is if you were happy with the sub before. There's a lot of nice subs to consider for 700 to 1000 dollars though . To bad you don't live closer Id give you a good guy deal on my SVS PB 12plus . Two subs for me is a over kill and either one does a great job . There is the cool factor though of having two . But Id give one up to help you out but shipping would kill the deal and Im sure would be outrageous .
