Wish I knew about the UK deal last year when I bought Season 3 at Best Buy. Otherwise, I would've grabbed it. I found out about it a couple of months after I bought it and gave myself a good spanking for it.

Sweet!!!! Scored season one bluray combo pack for $9.99 thanks to an unexpected Best Buy premiere silver 10 dollar coupon :-D

Hoping the $19.99 price sticks around at least through this month's upgrade and save so can score season 2 and 5 for $14.99. Holding off on season 3 and 4 purchase hoping for a combo pack re-release to include the UV redemption.

Well for one, not everyone wants to import and they aren't constantly on sale so that's why the weird pricing.

I received my Season 5 set a couple of days ago in the mail and I have one very anal complaint about the transfer. During the opening theme where the series of pictures start changing rapidly (starting at "the earth began to cool..." part of the theme song), there are noticeable, very quick freeze frames on several episodes. I guess since the picture changes so quickly at this part of the opening theme, it's a very difficult part to encode, but since this problem never occurred on the Seasons 1-4 sets, it looks like WB slacked off a bit on this set. It's minor quibble, but still. I see these quick freeze frames when watching these on cable TV, but there's no excuse to have these on BDs. I do hope WB is careful about this on future releases.

Here's a question: I just finished watching season 2 and for instance, the next to last episode of the season is less than 20 minutes. Each episode varies slightly by a few minutes. Do most half-hour comedies, that are on now, only run about 20 minutes? That's 10 and 10+ minutes of commercials.

I think most 30 minute shows run about 22 minutes after commercials.

Not sure about 30 minute shows today, but yeah, BBT episodes are about 18-20 minutes each. The first few seasons were about 20-21 minutes, but starting in Seasons 4-5, they started to get shortened to about 19 minutes per episodes. But yeah, these are very short episodes!!

I just started watching Season 5 and I'm up to episode 3 and I see what you mean. I found it annoying. I'll have to compare it to the dvds that came with the set and see if it's the exact same way.

I did that. The DVDs didn't have that problem.

So this is a blu-ray disc error? Do you know if others have had the same problem? Wondering if WB knows about it.

Seasons 1-4 BDs are fine. So it's just a Season 5 Blu-ray disc error. It's just sloppy encoding on their part.

I haven't noticed on my S5 set, but then again I'm not paying that much attention to the opening theme.

it's the same with 'Community', the opening theme is long and obnoxious. It's interesting how 'Two and Half Men' the opening theme is dependent on how much story is the actual episode.

Phew. I thought I was seeing things, or worse, that there was a problem with my player.

I don't skip title sequences. Even though I know what show I'm watching, it's just not the same without them.
