This is soooo a day 1 for me, still have the dvd but I've been wishing for this to be released on blu-ray.

It's a late 2013 release, so it's not odd. News just started to trickle out about Day of the Dead, and that was announced as part of the same bunch of title reveals as Night of the Comet. Since it's coming out later, you'll have to wait longer to hear more.

I hope it comes out this October or November.

I always loved this unique and underrated cult mix of sci-fi and horror with 80s teen comedy thrown in it since i was 4 years old when i rented it on video. I had it on video since i was a kid and i threw away the old tape once i heard on the net that a DVD is coming, i bought it and it was a terrible DVD as it had grainy picture with ZERO extras at all but oh well it had to do as i wished someday someone should do a special edition.

My wish came true last december once i heard a blu-ray collector's edition of this is coming this year and i sold my old dvd of it. It should improve over the grainy bareboned DVD no doubt and deliver a satisfying blu-ray to fans.
