Can someone tell me if the CGI is improved on the Mastered in 4K transfer of Godzilla? I read somewhere that the VFX team were unhappy with the finished product shown in theaters and on all previous home video releases, but I heard the CG integrates a lot better in the MI4K Blu-Ray. Is this true?

Sounds strange but awesome if that was the case. Don't think so though...

Here's an article that addresses it. Supposedly, the film's BD debut was the first time the FX could be seen in all their late-'90s CGI glory. I would assume the Mi4K BD carries this over, but even better.
Casual Funko Pop collector. Check out my Collection! Here is my Want List.

Have to trade: SS Joker (Boxer) (Target), Golden Freddy (Summer Con / Walmart), Ghostbusters 3-pack (Gatekeeper / Zuul / Keymaster) (Walmart).

That websites design is horribly outdated. Looks like it as designed in the 1990s and never changed.
The best number is 73. Why? 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror, 37, is the 12th and its mirror, 21, is the product of multiplying 7 and 3... and in binary 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001.
Films I'd like to see on Blu-Ray Disc:
Un Chien Andalou (1929)
Scarface (1932)
ABC Weekend Specials (19771995) [TV Movies]

It's the best site for getting factual information about Japanese pop culture released in the West. Plus really in-depth behind the scenes stuff, like the full history of Jan Debont's cancelled Godzilla movie, which ultimately became the '98 film. I don't care what kids or hipsters do with their sites nowadays, this one's got substance.

Substance, yes. Good design, no.

The CG looked fine to me in the Mi4K release. Stuck out a bit but I'd say that's to be expected nowadays.

Agreed.

@ Blu-21, the 'Mi4K' release is certainly worth getting:

I own it and it looks superb in motion. Very filmic.

Glad to hear it. I bought the steelbook MI4K release off eBay. I'll leave the special features to YouTube.

Watched the MI4K release last night and this is by far the most Ive ever enjoyed the film since I saw it in theaters back in 1998 as a kid. A guality pleasure for sure.

The CGI looked a lot better than it does on DVD and on the HD YouTube clips.
