I see that many a year as well, there are more than just a handful. I'm sorry, but that's just delusional to think otherwise. To each their own, but I have a hard time believing that coming off a year where we had 'Argo', 'Silver Linings Playbook', 'Django Unchained', 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower', and 'Skyfall', among so many others, that there are only ten good movies from the last fifteen years. That's just simply not true.

I don't...That's about how many genuinely good films have been made during that time.

While I can't speak for "Showgirls" (since I never saw it), I will say that "Jingle All the Way" (which I thought was ok, but wasn't overly fond of) blows most of today's films out of the water.

I don't agree in the slightest. There's a difference between personal preference and whether a movie is good. There are more than ten or fifteen good movies from the last decade. It's ridiculous to think otherwise. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

They are just making themselves look silly out there. The movies are bad, the scripts are useless, the action has zero context or intrigue so its boring, etc, etc.

It really wasn't that bad. Strictly middle-of-the-road Stallone, though.

I'd rank it around stuff like The Specialist, Lock Up, and Assassins. Probably more enjoyable than those three, though.

What's the hold up here? I see it has 3 releases (as soon as a couple weeks away) set up for other countries but not even a date yet 3 months after release?

I realize it was critically savaged and made no money at the box office, but that never stopped any other bad movies from coming out. I would figure if anything a blu release is one of the only shots left to make any cash back on it's budget. Even with his diminished star, it's still Stallone.

On iTunes they have it up for preorder and the release date there is July 2nd. First cloud atlas took so long and now this.

Saw on another sight the release date is July 16. Maybe WB wanted to steer clear of Die HArd and The Last Stand and all the titles coming in June.
