Chris Stuckmann is one of my favorite reviewers. I couldn't agree with him more on both films.

I thought by now there would have been an announcement that the sequels were hitting blu-ray. Its the original's 40th anniversary, the Sharknado scyfy movies are always over-the-top fun and score big with audiences, the sequels were released as a collection in March and Shark Week is just as popular than ever. Plus there is an in-depth coffee table book coming out soon on the making of Jaws 2, called "Jaws 2 The Making of a Hollywood Sequel."

There's never been a more opportune time to release Jaws 2, Jaws 3D (in real 3D) and Revenge with the original theatrical ending that never had a U.S. release (regardless if this ending is better or not-I happen to think it is). Those 20 and 30 something suits at Universal that weren't even born when the sequels came out need to wake up and realize the demand for the sequels...they are LONG overdue for a blu-ray release.

I would definitely purchase Jaws 2 on blu-ray if released. It's a worthy sequel IMO!!

Probably getting rid of the slight filtering which wasn't needed in the first place, but its not really worth re-encoding because although overrated on here, Jaws looks pretty strong on BD.

I watched this for the first time earlier this week and it was fun, but it sort of digressed into a 'screaming teenagers' movie at the end there... it needed to be bloodier IMO.

Its a well remastered release, even in terms of digital revisionism.

As for the audio, maybe a DTS-HD Mono track or at least PCM would be nice.

I was actually surprised at how well the lossy DTS 2.0 @ 768 kbps track sounds.

I would gather the 'My Fair Lady' DCP screening is NOT the new restored version.

I'm surprised they haven't released this. I can see why they're literally treading water before releasing 3 and 4, but 2 was still pretty good in its own right

What I can't believe is that studios are still invested in re-releasing films on DVD and sitting on so many movies in their library that have yet to see the light of day on blu-ray. HD masters for all 3 sequels exist (although I'm not sure about a true 3D master for Jaws 3D). Would it kill them to release them in a 3 pack on blu-ray like they did for the DVD set?????

It boggles my mind that they would release all the Tremors sequels in an attack pack (a couple movies that were strictly made for cable) and snub the Jaws sequels. Jaws is a huge brand for Universal 40 years on...but Tremors? C'Mon
