here you can see screenshot comparisons.
Also, the German Bluray has lossy audio.
And TT has an extra isolated score.

If I were you, I would wait for the new Fright Night in January.
I believe it will be better from both of them.

I finally got my German edition last night.

I ordered it 09/23/2014.

Edit: The odd thing about this is that, even though it is the German release, all the menus are in English. Also the default setting for the audio is English 5.1 and the subtitles are turned off. I thought it would have all be in German and I would have to manually change the audio before each viewing.

Does anyone know if Fright Night at Amazon.au is region A tested? I'm also having the hardest of times looking up movies on their Amazon site, does anyone know of any problems? Because I thought that I could order both Fright Night and Christine from Australia.

I got mine from JB HIFI. Definitely region free. I ordered from Australia instead of Germany so that the artwork and menu's would all be in English.

It's not that strange. Sony usually makes a master that covers several countries, including English speaking countries to save money. Language on such discs is determined by the player language setting.

Yeah... I didn't know that at the time. However, I also prefer the text on the case to be in English (if possible) and I would assume the German release is not?? It's nice to know that the German disc has English menus, but I do find that a bit odd. I have plenty of German, Asian, and other discs and rarely find that the menus are English.
