Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

I bought it on release day for at least 4 times that much and it was still worth every penny to me.

After seeing it, it was one of those blu-rays worth paying a higher price.

The film was shot using the Sony F3. It definitely was, at the time, a very expensive pro-sumer grade camera that only shoots up to 1080p @ 60 fps.

They may not have had the budget to add the clean output SDI digital recorders to each camera. If the DP had recorded everything internally, that could be why there's so much pixelization, especially in the dark scenes.

I just watched it and was actually pretty satisfied with the pq.

Safety Not Guaranteed was great blind-buy for me too. Enjoyed the heck out of it. Don't remember having any problems with the PQ.

Great to see you guys talking about/enjoying it. It's a very, very good Sci-Fi film that deserves some love and attention.

I blind bought this a while ago and was very satisfied! Such a great different movie. As far as I remember the PQ was fine.

It's a great little film. Very charming. Really walks that fine line between comedy, drama, and sci-fi superbly.

With respect to PQ, there is pretty noticeable black crush and pixellation in the darker sequences, but it's all down to the source. It didn't detract at all from my enjoyment of the film.
