The Game gets two releases before Panic Room gets even one!

I'm hoping Sony's recent release of My Best Friend's Wedding means they're finally taking an interest in their late 90s/early 00s catalog titles.

That would be a shame, but I just want it -- even if it's not my favorite Fincher by far -- since I would then have a complete set.

My light-OCD is really bothering me that I am missing one movie!

Well, My Best Friend's Wedding was in the Top Ten of its year (1997) and actually outgrossed Batman & Robin.

Panic Room grossed less money five years later (2002) and was not in the Top Ten of its year. Unless Panic Room has been an evergreen for Sony on DVD, they're not going to bother releasing it themselves.

Will this be the same transfer?

I still need to pick this up. Great film and one of Finchers best for sure. When I saw this I went in completely blind, knew absolutely nothing about it, and was taken for one hell of a ride. One of the best movie experiences of my life.
Recent watches:
Collision Course (1989 - Jay Leno & Pat Morita)
Rocky (For like the 100th Time)
Godzilla (2014)

Looking To Buy: Bambi II (New & Sealed With Slip) PM me

My thought on this as well!

Seeing this thread pop up every now and then is making me want to watch this again.
It's now on the list for tonight and hopefully makes the cut.

What are the odds that the Best Buy exclusive uses the same garbage transfer as the international Universal editions?

I still need to pick this up, but I'm gonna wait for another Criterion sale at B&N. There's no point messing around with any other edition for a film if there's a criterion out there as far as I'm concerned.

I would think low. Universal took Criterion's transfer for their edition of Charade.

They also didn't have their own previous release of Charade. I'd say the chances of this being a clone of the UK and German disc is much higher than you think.
