Default Evil Dead II on 4K

Do you think it will ever be possible?
I've heard that the original negatives - including the deleted scenes - have been lost.
All we get is the IP of the Theatrical Cut.
Hopefully it's just a silly rumour.

Fingers crossed...

I am not sure if it's lost, maybe just the deleted scenes.
A 4k restoration of whatever (negative, IP) would be possible but is highly unlikely since there have been already two restorations (two HD transfers) in the last 10-15 years.
The deleted scenes are lost but Sam Raimi doesn't want them anyway.
The theatrical cut is his director's cut.

It is believed that the negative lies in the possession of StudioCanal (owners of most of the Dino De Laurentiis film catalog, which included Laurentiis/Raimi's Rosebud Releasing label that released the film in the US), and they also supposedly have the legendary deleted scenes
but have denied Raimi access to these materials the past for reasons unknown (which is why all current release versions are from the same IP element and doesn't have as much or Raimi's involvement like the 1st film, in addition to none of the deleted bits ever showing up anywhere).
