The Blue Lagoon will be selling for EUR 13,99 and As Good As It Gets will be selling for EUR 15,99. The only difference really is that one of them will have different cover art on the Blu-ray itself and the text is in German.I've decided to buy the Sony Germany release of these movies as they are nearly half the price of the Twilight Time release and for the people who don't like the German cover you could always use this thread as a guide to make your own cover art

Yeah, that's really good to know actually. I buy from all over too, so next time around, I'll wait it out a little and purchase from Europe again as well. I didn't mind paying $30+ for the Blue Lagoon though as my wife loves that movie and everyone seems to think the transfer is really good.

It IS an awesome transfer, with lots of clarity, detail and natural film grain. This is what blu ray is all about.

"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas."

I assume it's probably the same transfer that TT got. If so, the blu is absolutely stunning. The transfer is really, seriously beautiful.

That's a good comparison, should help people decide on which version to purchase. I decided on the Sony blu... and here's why: I waited for a price drop so it wound up costing me under $15 (shipping included). I have the DVD which has the commentary tracks, plus the trailer and making of in SD, so was it worth it to me to pay another $20 to have those few extras in HD along with a few teasers? For me, no. The film was the main thing.

You can't go wrong with either release. The BDs look spectacular.

I'm curious - Do all the blu-ray releases of this film use the same 4k transfer? I realize there's differences in the extras but is the transfer the same for all regions?

Does anyone know why the German Bluray is 2,5 minutes more???

US disc: 1:44:44.152
German Disc: 1:47:15.053
http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...ess=#vergleich

It can't be 2,5 more minutes of logos, can it be?

The Sony BD has about 10 different playlists. Nobody knows why. This is longest one, which repeats a 3 min m2ts-file for no apparent reason.
