I used banana plugs for mine. I've always used bare wire, but decided to splurge this time . Love them!

Post #148 and 150 the poster (slamjack) recomends them. On the other hand it would save me some $ having four of the 22s, so thats a BIG plus.

I fear/wonder that by using 22s I'll be wondering how much of an improvment I'm missing out on. Thats the sole reason really.

I used to own a set of Pioneers (FS52 towers, BS22 bookshelves, and center) up until recently. My brother in law and I both got hit with the upgrade bug so now they're his. It's a fantastic value for what they are capable of.

There's also a great review on the 22s in Stereophile magazine. I think you could save yourself a chunk of cash if you get:

Four SP-BS22s + the center (MSRP $360 - Mind you, these go on sale every so often so keep your eyes open, check slickdeals.net so you have an idea of how ridiculously cheap they've sold for)

Accessories4less
Denon AVR-X1100W ($249)
Denon AVR-X2000 ($269)
Marantz 5008 ($419)

This should leave you enough for a decent sub.

What you can do is go 3.1 with the bookshelves and then take it from there.
Panasonic TC-P50S30 Plasma . Denon AVR-X2000 Receiver . Sony BDP-S1200 Blu-ray player
Wharfedale Diamond 10.CS Center, 10.2 Fronts, & 10.SR Rears . Energy S10.3 Subwoofer . Tivo Premiere, 2TB

So I got the PK52FS 5.0 package set up quite nicely and the 12 inch NXG BAS 500.

What do you suggest as the crossover settings.
80hz for the surrounds, front and center? Sub at 120hz?
Been playing with it....but wouldn't mind opinions, I know this sub can do real damage, haha!
Obsessed film-loving GIRL :)

Pioneer SP-PK52FS Andrew Jones, NXG BAS-500 12" Sub

Looking for a buget system should suffice for a long time. I'm already considering getting a Svs sb1000 instead since it is sealed and better for music, according to posts on the forums here, which is more along the lines of what I am aiming for but time will tell. This hobby looks like it will never end...
Seems that way.

Hey, I've been reviewing blue-ray' on DSU and Atmos for a while using tr-nx 1030 onkyo reciever atmos enabled also have the full pioneer elite dobly enabled speakers (4 towers, a center) I used a svs ultra sub instead of the pioneer elite sub.

With that said these speakers are amazing, theater sound, actually better then the theater in my area (regal, amc) doesn't compare.
The best part is I bough all My pioneer elite speakers for 50% at a magnolia and bestbuy that wanted to remodel so they got rid off all their models for 50% off...also a 79inch 4k uhd 3d tv by lg.

Those add-on speakers are currently out of stock, at Amazon and the Pioneer websites.
Does anyone know how long it takes these two retailers, to replenish there stocks?
I want to order four of them, to sit atop my four SP-FS52 floorstanding speakers.
