Don't even start on that stupid, stupid ending. That Alice vision was impossible.

I know that's the popular fan sentiment, but I can tell you - I never gave a crap about Twilight until that epic scene.

I saw the first one (a lot on fast forward - the flying through the trees bit - being used to Buffy vampires, I found myself realizing near the end of the movie "oh wait, they haven't done it yet??") and I saw the second one on Blu-ray (when I was working likely, I don't remember much of it). And I missed the next two. Then a friend wanted to go to the movies to see Part 2. Loved it.

I bought this Part 1 and 2 Blu-ray the day it came out at Wal-mart. Watched it 3 times.

All because that one 20-minute sequence is so kick-ass.

So I totally get how people who are fans of the books see it differently - I am sure I would - but it sure made me care a lot more about seeing the rest of the series than I would have otherwise.
If you have to whip out a microscope to decide if you like a Blu-ray or not, you are missing the point.

The ending is great, don't get me wrong. I loved it. I mean i knew what was going to happen since i read the books, so it was just action packed fun. But the vision is just where i got pissed off.
[Show spoiler]Alice cannot have visions of Jacob. the wolves block her visions
. it's retarded.

But Aro also saw the fight in her mind as well. The wolves was also very much involved there. Maybe she has learned to control it because the Cullens has become friends with them and Jacob since Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. I don't know

Jacob and Renesmee's future is not really a "vision".

Out of curiosity, will an extended version for Part 2 ever be released? It seems strange that it hasn't been announced, but it's understandable that Part 1 had a release since Summit would want to milk this series as much as they can.

I was wondering the exact same thing myself, I have held off buying the last movie (not a fan of double dipping) for this reason. Hopefully within the next year the extended version will be released.
