This is $35 at Best Buy next this week, not much of a sale but worth noting.

I am kinda at a debate of whether or not to pick up the Limited Edition or just buy the regular game from GameStop.

I would just get the regular. The Limited edition really didn't offer anything special but the art book that was about 8-12 pages with nothing grand in it.

I've been playing this sparingly off and on the past few days, so here's some impressions.

Full disclosure: I've played through the entirety of the original US release of Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 both on Proud difficulty, as well as KH: Birth By Sleep on PSP.

Things I've noticed have changed:

Camera
While the camera still isn't ideal in KH 1.5, it's still a significant improvement having decent manual controls. Not sure why people are complaining about this, though the one zone that might give people problems is Deep Jungle. There's some fairly tricky jumps there that punish you fairly severely for missing.

Visuals
The graphics presentation in KH 1.5 is a huge step up from the PS2 version, being rendered in proper HD. Lines are clean, colors are bright, everything looks great.

Frame rate is also pretty stable.

That said, there is a fair amount of screen tearing in busy parts of levels that can be enormously distracting.

Gameplay
It's been nearly a decade since I played KH1 so my memories of game difficulty are fuzzy, but KH 1.5 feels a bit harder on Normal than I expected. You need three full playthroughs to get all the trophies anyhow, so I figured I'd save some frustration on Proud and the 15h speedrun trophy until I got some muscle memory back from combat and minigames.

Overall, it's still the same game, with more or less the same flaws and perks. There are some subtle changes to combat and some additional rare monsters that are devilishly difficult to defeat, but otherwise the gameplay survives mostlhy intact.

There do appear to be some new cutscenes, but without Haley Joel Osment to voice them (he's too old to do Sora's voice any more...) they fall a bit flat without any voice acting and only speech bubbles.

All in all, it's a good presentation for the game, and there's a ton of content for the amount of money you're paying.
PS3: 100+ games, 100+ movies. Pure HD bliss!

Bought this the other week on a whim during work. So glad I got it, I didn't even know it was due out. Already beaten KH1, loved the extra scenes and the ability to skip them. When I first played it on PS2, I found the first game fun but unbelievably difficult. I was at level 70 by the time I finished the game and still found it impossible, so getting the option to play through on beginner for the story was ace. Re-playing KH: Chain of Memories now. Great games!

The Plague Dogs, RoboCop, Urotsukidoji, Scarface, The Warriors, The Thing, The Lion King
Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Far Cry, Tomb Raider, Saints Row, Forbidden Siren, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream

Finally got this the other day as a gift for my Birthday. It's currently selling for $19.99 now, though. I've been having fun playing this game again. It's just too bad that I never did beat it when I owned the PS2 version. It really was a very difficult game... Lol.
