Why would the US release be missing that? In any event, I know it isn't missing.

this earlier post confused me about the farmhouse scene

so do we have the extended farmhouse sequence in Full HD or not?

I don't see the big deal with the farmhouse sequence quite honestly. I understand why it was cut.

Okay, so I got out my BD (from the original "magnetic seal" box) and, yes, the 58 second-long edit is not in the film and is only available as a very lo-def extra. It's a brief dinner scene which was probably cut for pacing. The two little kids have maybe 80% of the dialogue, with the youngest asking Bourne if he's afraid of alligators.

If the UK set is better in any qualitative way, go for it - but I wouldn't spend extra just for that scene. In any case, enjoy whichever set you get. Looking for the scene made me so-o want to watch the whole series again.

My PS3 wont play The Bourne Identity blu-ray flipper disc. It will play the DVD side, but when I try to watch the blu-ray version it won't even read it. Just throws up an error saying the disc can not be played. The disc itself is brand new and in perfect shape. And other blu-rays play fine. I don't have any other flippers in my collection that I can try out. Anyone else have this issue?

Shouldn't you check in an older, single release thread? They never used flippers in the trilogy set, did they?

I figured universal used the same discs for the trilogy and single releases.

They did ... as the box contains 3 unsealed BD cases - seemingly the single releases. But I'd heard that the flippers only came with the earliest BDs.

The current box set is NOT flippers. I know because I own it.

The first printings of the box set might have been flippers though, I can't say for sure. I was out of the country when it came out and just got it a year or so ago.

If I remember correctly the trilogy boxset was the first and only release to get any of them, and wasn't flippers. I own it. Got it on release. Later when Universal did release individuals, they were Flippers.

Edit to add....
The first trilogy release was Jan 27 2009. Individuals were not released until a year later on Jan 19 2010, were flippers.

Yeah, as I said earlier, or tried to , no flippers for the trilogy - AFAIK. I've got the original set (with the magnet closure) - just single BD's.

Well there isn't a dedicated thread for the single releases that I've been able to find so I'll have to use this thread. So has anyone heard of this problem with the flippers not working in PS3s?

Hey Memphis. I just watched my Bourne Identity BD on my Ps3 without a hitch not too long ago. It was the flip disc (not from the trilogy).

I've got the 120gb model

Im not by my Ps3 right now but I'm pretty confident there's a setting where you can turn off Bd access to your Internet. Try turning that off, as it might be the Bd Live previews causing you issues

Hey thanks, grape_jelly, but thatís actually Cookís problem.

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.ph...postcount=1206

But thatís a good idea and Iím sure heíll come back see your post. Thatís one reason I donít have my player connected to the internet, but Iíve heard of what you said causing problems. I shoulda remembered. Thanks again. Iíll keep my fingers crossed for Cook.
