Default Star Wars Hot Wheels ships at Dollar Tree

I was at a Dollar Tree and they had several of the Star Wars Hot Wheels ships on the pegs.

I picked up nine of them.
Good deal considering they sell for about $4 each at other stores.

Walmart was closing them out for $1 too...odd. I guess no more new ones will be coming out? They're really nice, I thought they'd be popular.

The line will continue with revised card art and some new ships.
The weird one is the walkers from ESB, they come with a stand.

Unfortunately for carded collectors, Hot Wheels re-releases their Star Wars ships and character cars every year with revised card art. Makes it impossible to collect the line on a single style of cardback. I don't collect the ships but i have been keeping up with the character cars. I'm about ready to give up as i started collecting these to get a whole set on the same style cardback. That has gone out the window. So far there have been 4 style changes with another coming with TLJ stuff. I'm done buying the same stuff over again and again. This is assuming you can find the newest assortments of these in the first place.

About the stand on these.
I've noticed two different types.

The first was a stand that doubled as a way to play with the vehicle by inserting a finger into the stand.
I guess I get the idea, but perhaps the vehicle would pop off the stand while playing with it or kids would just take the vehicle in hand and play with it.
Plus the finger stand looked kind of goofy to me.

I much prefer the later stand that had a round base. Looks much better imo.
