I'm actually getting rid of a lot of stuff I wanted you to see that I'm using my HTPC as a preamp. I've gotten rid of all of my sources and my receiver, and now I may get rid of my processors (however - I've already got the computer doing my room correction and EQing - If i see a drop in performance, I'll keep my processors - however my Quad core is keeping up nicely for now ). The one thing I can't see doing in a HTPC is power amps. I can see using cooler class D amplification if it sounds right. As a matter of fact, I'm trying to devolve my HT by using fewer components.
