I'm sure that missing cardboard is really worth the "headache/stress" that you caused either yourself or the Customer Service Rep.

Seriously?
How is the missing cardboard sleeve impacting your enjoyment of the movies?

If this was the VHS days, yes, I'm sure that this would be acceptable since those were the only form of protection or identification that they were afforded.
Blu-Ray's and DVD's come in a hard case. the slips are worthless.
BUT THEY'RE PRETTY!

As much as I think Slips are nice, I won't and will not go out of my way to get a slip though.

To you they are worthless, but to many others it's a collectible that's part of the package. Actually, it wasn't a headache/stress at all, I got refunded part of my money because of their false advertisement, and that's never a bad thing.

Where your logic is flawed is by the very nature of the slipcase. They are a first pressing marketing gimmick. If you *must* have it, buy the sets at release. You want to wait out for a better price, you gamble on getting one or not. You can't be cheap and entitled at the same time.

It's not the retailers fault and definitely not false advertisement. Do they list SLIPCASE on the product description?

I do like slipcases just like (almost) everybody but I know to play the game. Amazon is too generous in some occasions.

I can't even believe I'm reading this...you actually went out of your way to complain to Amazon b/c your movies didn't come with extra toilet paper??

I don't even know how to begin to describe the type of loser you are...

I agree that was unnecessarily harsh.

That said wow with the discount because of the lack of slip covers. Good for you lol. I even suggested to Amazon Customer service saying there should be a way to indicate if the Blu-Ray has the slip cover or not. Guess they figured it out though I'm sure it's not because of me lol. It seems to reflect that with the purchases I made lately based on the item picture they post.

But anyway slip covers are great but I can definitely live without them. I won't hold it against anyone for wanting to have them either.

My bad. No, I agree. That was harsh.
I didn't see the part where he was called a loser.
I apologize.

Yes. There is also a lightining flash added visually, before the doctors leave the Triceratops paddock to return back. And a jaguar call has been added to one Raptor, which feels awful (the latest, not the originals).

Default just so I'm clear.....

JP1 2011 2D release is the same as the 2013/20th anniversary release
JP1 2013 3D has new color timing, etc.

JP2 2011 release is the same as 2013 release

JP3 2011 release is the same as 2013 release

is this correct?

This is a good question. I'm curious about this myself, as I'd love a 2D copy of the cleaned up print. From what little I've been able to research, it seems that the 2D version in the 3D release is the 2011 release, but the 20th Anniversary 2D release is the cleaned up print? I haven't been able to confirm if that's accurate or not, though.

I haven't heard that anywhere else, I thought all 2D releases of the original film were identical, from the old transfer.

They are. If you play the 3d version in 2d then you can watch the new transfer. The 2d disk is the same as the older one.
