I'm pretty sure Dallas' ratings are higher than Southland's are. Ben McKenzie and Shawn Hatosy already joined other pilots, considering it's unlikely they'll get renewed. If anything I think TNT should give them a shorter season, rather than just cancelling it.

Yeah, a bunch of crap they saved that other Boston show to exploit the city for the bombings it just went through. also, that show cost a lot less.

According to insiders, TNT and John Wells/Warner Bros. are still kicking around the possibility of doing a 2-hour wrap-up #Southland movie.

Well, yeah.............a documentary/"reality" "COPS" type show will, of course, cost much less to produce than a scripted drama. Sucks about Southland, I've been a fan since day one.

They probably would do it soon since cast members have other potential pilots I believe. Maybe they will film it in the summer and it will air in the fall sometime?

This cancellation is a shame. Cudlitz deserved an Emmy for his portrayal of Cooper. Speaking as a cop, this is by far the best police show that's been on television since The Wire or Third Watch.
